Neitzsche unlocks the key to JOY

"Will—that is the name of the liberator and the joy bringer." writes Friedrich Nietzsche in Thus Spoke Zarathustra. I received this tidbit from "PhilosphersNotes" which creates book summaries and mp3 of philosphical books)

Nietzsche speaks again and again about the force of our will to "overcome" our human frailties, eg. "He who cannot command himself should obey. And many can command themselves, but much is still lacking before they can obey themselves." And Leonardo da Vinci said "One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself." and Rumi: "The lion who breaks the enemy's ranks is a minor hero compared to the lion who overcomes himself."
